RESPONSIBILITY WAIVER
In consideration of being permitted to participate in
FirstGen Summit (hereafter referred to as “event”), I, the undersigned, do knowingly and voluntarily hereby waive, release and hold harmless Georgia FirstGen (hereafter known as FirstGen) and Georgia Gwinnett College (hereafter known as GGC), its officers, employees, and students from any liability or claim, demand, action, judgment, court cost, reasonable attorney fees and liability of any kind for damages brought as a result of my involvement in this event, including travel to, from and during the event, whether such damage, injury or loss results from negligence or some other cause.

I understand that being a guest at this event carries certain inherent risks and dangers. These risks include but are not limited to personal damage, injury, paralysis, loss, death, or property damage or loss. I understand that these risks are described by example only and that numerous other risks are inherent in this event to which I may be exposed.

I understand that FirstGen and GGC in no way represent or act as an agent for any third-party organizer, transportation carrier, or other service suppliers during this event.

I understand I am attending this event on GGC property solely as a guest. As a guest, I agree to obey all rules and regulations concerning this event and to not exceed my role as a guest by acting as a participant for whom the event was intended.
CONSENT, LICENSE, AND RELEASE

1. I consent to be photographed, filmed, and video or audio recorded by FirstGen and/or GGC for use in newspapers, magazines, brochures, or other print publications; social, downloadable, streamed, or other online media; and video, film, or audio recordings.
2. I grant FirstGena and/or GGC the unlimited worldwide right and license to use, distribute, publish, re-publish, adapt, exploit, exhibit, perform, reproduce, edit, crop, retouch, modify, digitize, broadcast, make derivative works, distribute, display and otherwise exploit my name, image, voice, and likeness in all markets, media or technology now known or hereinafter developed, irrevocably and in perpetuity.
3. I waive and release irrevocably all rights that I may have to any approvals, compensation, payment, or royalties in connection with the foregoing consent and grant of rights, regardless of whether the such publication or other usage is educational, philanthropic, or commercial in nature.
4. I understand that FirstGen and/or GGC may exercise the rights granted herein itself or through its employees, contractors, successors, transferees, licensees, distributors, or other parties, whether commercial or non-profit.
