FINANCE COORDINATOR

THIS IS AN UNPAID, VOLUNTEER POSITION

Job Description

At Georgia First, the finance division maintains a foundation for the nonprofit grow upon. To continue the stabilized growth, we’re searching for a highly qualified finance coordinator to work closely with them. From day one, this individual will contribute to existing fundraising campaigns, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company and client goals. The ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of fundraising functions, including communication and outreach for maintaining and garnering new donor bases. The finance coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.

Objectives of this Role

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the company’s donor and finance strategy
  • Ensure all fundraising efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation
  • Prepare fundraising activity reports and metrics for measuring success
  • Support the maintenance and development of internal tools, including a credentials database, tracking capability, contact directory, and intranet sites​

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Support the Fundraising and Sponsorship Directors in evaluating current fundraising efforts and collaborating on initiatives to bring about new donor base
  • Communicate campaign objectives and timelines
  • ​Maintain a directory and support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed​

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or currently seeking such degree
  • ​Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
