How to Start a Chapter
Contact the Georgia First Generation Foundation
Establishing a Chapter at your school starts with contacting the Georgia First Generation Foundation, Inc. Please fill out the initial form by clicking below to submit important information to our Georgia First Generation Chapter Coordinator. Once we receive your inquiry, you will be contacted with the proper documentation needed to fill out your request. We welcome initial forms year-round.
Submit Chapter Application
After the initial conversation with Georgia First Generation Foundation, Corp., you will fill out an application requesting the establishment of a Georgia First Generation Chapter. The application is your opportunity to showcase why starting a Chapter is important to you and your school.
Interview and Approval
Establishing a Chapter requires understanding what the Foundation is based upon and how it can transform the lives of first generation students. If the application is accepted, you will schedule a meeting with one of the Founders at your school. After the interview, you will receive a decision about the status of the Chapter.
Georgia First Generation Leadership Summit
Upon acceptance, all Chapter Officers are mandated to attend the annual Georgia First Generation Leadership Summit for leadership training. The Leadership Summit is hosted every summer prior to the beginning of school.
